Phillip Boykin is making his Broadway debut as the villainous Crown in Porgy and Bess. Renowned for his work in opera, the South Carolina native has performed Porgy and Bess in Germany, Portugal, Japan, Australia and New Zealand and has sung at the Kennedy Center and with the Cleveland Opera Company, Hartford Symphony and Cleveland Pops. Boykin also played Joe in a national tour of Show Boat.
